Parenting Skills Workshop
Do you have issues communicating with your child? Do your conversations quickly lead to power struggles and arguments? Does it seem that they just won’t listen and continue to make poor decisions?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, our workshop is designed to provide you with the tools and support you need. We help you move from conflict to cooperation, creating a more respectful and understanding family environment.
Workshop Details
When: Our next 8-week session begins soon. Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Please call for upcoming start dates.
Where: In-person at our Sarasota, FL office.

What You Will Gain in This Workshop:
This workshop provides practical, research-based skills for parents of children from toddlers to teens. You will learn:
Effective Communication: Discover techniques to talk with your child, not at them, to ensure you are truly heard.
Understanding Behavior: Learn to identify the goals behind your child’s misbehavior and how to address the root cause.
Positive Discipline: Implement discipline strategies that teach responsibility and self-control without shaming or punishment.
Encouraging Cooperation: Build a family dynamic based on mutual respect and teamwork.
The workshop is based on the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) program, a trusted and effective model used since 1976. It is important for all parents in the home to attend so skills can be applied consistently.
