What are Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs)?

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are structured, short-term treatment programs designed to bridge the gap between traditional outpatient therapy and inpatient hospitalization. IOPs provide a higher level of care and support than weekly therapy sessions, but they do not require the 24/7 supervision of an inpatient setting. This allows individuals to continue living at home and maintain aspects of their daily routines while receiving intensive treatment.

Who are IOPs For?

Our IOPs are designed for individuals who are not in danger to themselves or others and who:

• Are in complex or refractory clinical situations that would otherwise result in the need for a more restrictive level of care (hospitalization).

• Have been recently discharged from a hospital and still need more time to get to their usual level of functioning.

• Are in crisis but do not meet the criteria for hospitalization.

• Are experiencing a decline in symptoms.

• Need more focused attention to their mental health.

IOP Program Overview: Adults (18+)

The Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (Adult MH-IOP) is designed for adults, 18 and older, who face severe mental health challenges that affect their daily functioning. Our Adult MH-IOP addresses:

• Addiction

• Major Depression

• Severe Anxiety

• Eating Disorders

• Other dependencies that affect daily functioning

The Adult MH-IOP involves attending 3 hours of intensive group therapy, 3 days a week. We are state-licensed to provide Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Programs in New Jersey and Florida.

IOP Program Overview: Adolescents (Ages 13-17)

The Adolescent Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (Adolescent MH-IOP) is a structured program created for adolescents, ages 13 through 17, who exhibit psychiatric symptoms and significant impairment in day-to-day educational, social, and interpersonal functioning. Our Adolescent MH-IOP focuses on:

• Anxiety disorders

• Depression

• ADHD

• Trauma

• Emotional dysregulation

• Social Difficulties

Adolescent’s that attented, participate in 2 hours per day, 3 days per week and the duration of the Program is from 6 to 8 weeks. Parental involvement is an important part of this.
