If you are currently on any psychiatric medications, or require psychiatric medication, CRP’s highly experienced providers are available to help!
At your initial visit, a comprehensive initial psychiatric assessment, you can expect:
At your first visit, our physicians will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. The appointment is 45-60 min long. All of our providers are versed in the latest psychopharmacology and they are well qualified to treat all mental health diagnosis in adults, children and the elderly.
We anticipate that you will actively participate in the process of evaluation by sharing as much as possible of your mental health history, symptoms and feelings. Being proactive and engaged in your treatment will enhance your ability to overcome mental health challenges. With your help, your provider will be able to identify an appropriate type and dosage of the medication that best targets and alleviates your symptoms. Your medical provider will also examine whether additional psychotherapy visits are needed for your treatment.
By the end of the visit your provider will help you to schedule the follow-up appointment to monitor your progress and response to medication.
At your medication follow up monitoring appointment, you can expect:
The goal of this appointment is to monitor your progress towards recovery. It can last from15 to 30 min depending on the complexity of your condition. During the visit, your provider will assess your ability to tolerate the prescribed medication, identify any side effects, and identify whether you have favorable or unfavorable responses to medications. We encourage all of our clients to be honest in describing any new feelings, thoughts, symptoms or behaviors. It will help to early identify a need for medication dosage adjustments or a need to switch to different medication altogether, and/or provide helpful educational intervention.
